In order to achieve its objectives, Grupo Murano’s operations leverages on a fully multidisciplinary team with over 20 years of combined experience in the Mexican real estate sector, and also specializes in all matters related to the structuring of business with operators, providing a first class awareness to pinpoint business opportunities in Mexico.



Mr. Sacal is the Chief Executive Officer of Murano, founding member of Bay View Grand and Chairman of the Board of Murano. He is a leader within Mexico’s tourism and lodging industry with over 20 years of experience developing, acquiring and financing real estate projects. Mr. Sacal developed the “Second Home Living” experience for international buyers interested in owning a vacation home in Mexico which was entirely financed with local investments. He has led the development of multiple residential real estate projects including BVG Cancun, Residencial BVG Ixtapa, Marina Ixtapa and Grand Venetian BVG, among others. Mr. Sacal has been a member of the Patronato del Museo Nacional de Antropología e Historia, the World Federation of Friends of Museums, and adviser to the Princess Grace Foundation (Monaco).
Mr. Marcos Sacal is the Chief Operating Officer of Murano, overseeing the construction and sale of Residencial Marina BVG Ixtapa for over US$89 million, the sale of Residencial Villa Alejandra BVG for US$48 million and Grand Venetian BVG Vallarta for US$300 million. He has prior experience in developing technology and Software as a Service (SaaS) platforms for the operation and management of real estate assets. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Universidad Anáhuac, a certification in Corporate Finance from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM), and a Finance diploma with a certification in Project Evaluation from Harvard University.
Mr. Moussan is the Chief Financial Officer of Murano. Prior to his role, Mr. Moussan served as Head of Corporate and Investment Banking at Actinver, a leading Mexican financial services firm, and covered multiple products and industries. He participated in the IPOs and other placements of Fibra INN (a Mexican hospitality REIT). Mr. Moussan also worked at Banco Santander from 2011 to 2013 as Director of Structured Products in their Debt Capital Markets division. Prior to joining Santander, he worked for 6 years at Scotiabank as Director of Investment Banking focused on structuring and executing corporate debt issuances, ABS, RMBS and equity issuances in both local and international markets. Mr. Moussan holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and an MBA from the ITAM.
Mr. Marco Vazquez has more than 17 years of experience in real estate development, serving as Project Manager for Sanz Arquitectos Asociados since 2005. Before joining Murano, he also worked as Project Manager at Bay View Grand where he led several developments such as Villa Alejandra in Acapulco Guerrero, Grand Ventean in Puerto Vallarta, and Residencial Gran Dorado, in the State of Mexico, among others.
Mr. Martinez has a Master’s Degree in Law and broad expertise in contracts, agreements and national and international bids for the development of important projects valued for over US$870 million, highlighting: The Emisor Oriente Tunnel, the Grand Island Hotel, the Samalayuca-Sasabe Gas Pipeline, the Landing Track 03 and Main Terminal of the New International Airport of Mexico City and the New School of Judges in Mexico City. He currently performs as legal counselor of the Murano Group, for projects such as the Wyndham Hotel in Mexico City and Grand Island Cancun Hotel.
