Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE: H) announced that a Hyatt affiliate has entered into a management agreement with Grupo Murano for Hyatt Vivid Grand Island, an adults-only resort and Dreams Grand Island, a family-friendly 616-room luxury resort.
With the recent pre-opening of the i421 Live District Roma-Condesa mixed-use complex, the group expanded its presence in an area that represents 80% of their developments.
Grupo Murano pre-opened its new project: i421 Live District Roma-Condesa, which will have two new hotel brands in Mexico City, Mondrian by Ennismore-Accor,
and Andaz, by Hyatt. According to the firm, this will be one of the largest and most ambitious projects in the corridor,
as it will add 50% to the hotel inventory in the area.
The Mondrian and Andaz hotel brands will be located at the iconic 421 Insurgentes Avenue at the corner of Aguascalientes at the intersection of two of the city's most attractive neighborhoods: Roma and Condesa, under the support of Grupo Murano.
Grupo Murano pre-inaugurated the new i421 Live District Roma-Condesa Mexico City, which features two internationally recognized hotel brands: Mondrian by Ennismore-Accor, and Andaz, by Hyatt.
At the pre-inauguration of the i-421 Live District Roma-Condesa Mexico City hotel complex, the head of the Ministry of Tourism (SECTUR) announced some of the projects the agency is working on, which are in line with the new needs of the post-pandemic traveler.
The hotel brands Accor and Hyatt will introduce new brands to Mexico City through two new hotels in the I421 complex, in the former Aristos building, located in the Condesa district of Mexico City, a project that intends to position itself as a major business and leisure destination by the end of this year.
Andaz Condesa Mexico City is the new hotel development of Hyatt Hotels Corporation, which will be located in the Condesa neighborhood (Mexico City) and will open its doors at the end of 2022.
Among the news to be presented at this business summit is the announcement of Grupo Murano,
which will inject over USD$ 1 billion dollars together with Sabadell, La Caixa and Bancomext to
the construction of the World Trade Center Cancun, a magnificent space for the meetings industry.
The real estate company Grupo Murano will tap the stock market to raise the missing resources,
of the one billion dollars it committed, for the Grand Island Cancun hotel megaproject.
During President Andrés Manuel Lopez Obrador's daily conference, Murano, a company owned by Elias,
Marcos and Harry Sacal, presented the Grand Island Cancún project. With an investment of 1 billion
dollars, financed by Bancomext and two foreign banks, the project comprises a two phases 3,000-key
complex in Cancun's hotel zone that will begin operations in 2022 and 2024, respectively.
During his daily conference, the President announced the Grand Island Cancun project,
which investment of 1 billion dollars represents one of the largest tourism endeavors in the
last 30 years. Marcos Sacal, CEO of Murano, stated that the complex will create thousands of
jobs throughout its construction and operation.
The Secretariat of the Environment and Natural Resources authorized the construction
of the 3,000-room Grand Island mega-hotel located in the second stage of Cancun's hotel
zone, with an investment of 10 billion pesos by BVG World.
